Independent living at Carmel Hills provides for a peaceful Christian environment and is home to approximately 50 residents who enjoy activities that include spiritual activities, gardening, crafts, exercise classes, games, shopping trips and movie nights.

We maintain 42 apartment units in various locations on the campus as well as the great room, dining area, the Assisted Living, 15 acres of rolling woodlands, open areas with flowering shrubs, and the areas around the lake. We believe that we have the most beautiful 55+ active adult retirement community in Charlotte. For those who do not drive, we offer residents transportation to doctors, grocery shopping, banking, meetings at the local assembly, various field trips, etc.
Many of the residents here in our over 55 community spend time planting and maintaining flower gardens adjacent to their duplex or apartment. There are a lot of bird feeders which attract a diverse population, including the local cardinals and hummingbirds. While at Carmel Hills, don’t forget to visit Shuffle In, our games room, library and craft area.
As a 55+ active adult community Carmel Hills offers independent living in a variety of apartment sizes, duplexes, and a log cabin. In the floor plan drawings, we have included furniture to provide an example of the way your living space could be arranged. However, you would bring your own furnishings and arrange your living space to suit your own taste. These homes are shown with bathtubs which include showers. A Unit floor plan offers 350 square feet of living space, and includes a bed-sitting room, bath and fully equipped kitchenette.
C Unit floor plan offers 600 square feet of living space, and includes a living room, separate bedroom, bath and fully equipped kitchen.
Duplex Unit floor plan offers 1,130 square feet of living space, and includes a living room, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and two separate bedrooms. Each unit has two full baths.
B Unit floor plan offers 450 square feet of living space, and includes a bed-sitting room, bath and fully equipped kitchenette.
D Unit floor plan offers 900 square feet of living space, and includes a living room, two separate bedrooms (each with a full bath) and fully equipped kitchen.
Log Cabin Unit floor plan offers 896 square feet of living space, and includes a porch, great room, separate bedroom, bath and fully equipped kitchen.
